Finding a postcard in our mailbox is pure joy!
From the carefully handwritten messages, to the colorful images and stamps, postcards are little surprises that delight, inspire and connect us.
White Rock, BC resident Ric Wallace / Mr White Rock has been creating and marketing postcards since 2013 (into 11th year in BC). Ric Wallace likes to joke he did not move to BC to sell postcards, greeting cards and magnets, etc.
Looking for a domain name for a website to put photos online, he noted all the signs at the waterfront saying “Welcome to White Rock Beach, Pier and Promenade”. The domain name WhiteRockBeach.ca had never been registered until Ric Wallace captured this valuable virtual property. The domain WhiteRockBeach.ca has helped inspire all that you see online or on display at The White Rock Beach Gallery along the promenade when set up.

Ric has produced over 300 postcards with about 200 postcards of White Rock Beach. Every postcard or greeting card with a mounted postcard acts as an advertisement for White Rock Beach, BC Canada with zero tax dollars spent.
The senior population especially, and people of all ages in White Rock / South Surrey love them, as well as tourists to BC and the White Rock waterfront. With tourists coming back to White Rock Beach since the end of the pandemic, many retailers saw record sales of cards created by Ric Wallace / Mr White Rock. Some people might be concerned with postage rates, but people want photos as an inexpensive souvenir or for the scrapbook or walls of their study or office.

Ric Wallace has printed over 500,000 postcards, ALL printed in CANADA, since becoming the Postcard King of White Rock Beach.
The retail sales (what purchasers have spent) on Ric’s postcards or greeting cards with a mounted/removable postcard have surpassed $100,000 (10+ years). The first bundled sets of postcards were created in February 2019 of the Storm of the Century and since then, there are now 36 different packs of postcards with more planned by Ric Wallace.

Ric Wallace is an Artist / Photographer (ARTographer) who sets up at the White Rock Beach waterfront under the ART Walk program. He is currently the only photographer with Storm of the Century photos / postcards, and aerial views of the pier. Ric originally wanted to set up under the Artists Walk program over 9 years ago and just sell postcards, but he was NOT ALLOWED unless he had a wider selection of photo items. He currently offers, POSTCARDS, postcard packs, greeting cards, magnets, metal prints, acrylic prints, canvas prints, matted prints, framed photos, and photo prints for framing ranging from 5” x 7” up to 13” x 19”.
Sales of postcards and greeting cards explode leading up to Christmas with many selections showing snow, Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings, the BRIGHT WALK waterfront light displays and animals wearing Santa hats including a hat on the famous White Rock.
